CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cleveland man died early Sunday after his car crashed into a van parked in the Ohio City neighborhood, authorities said.
Francisco Juarez Jr., 27, died after the crash near the Bridge Avenue intersection at West 44th Street, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened around 2:30 am as Juarez was driving west on Bridge Avenue in a 2003 Lexus sedan. The car went left of center and crashed into a Ford E- van. 350 from 2004 parked and unoccupied, police said.
Cleveland firefighters extricated him from the car. An ambulance took him to MetroHealth, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, police said.
