FHS Hockey Team, Coach Honored for Community Service

The Findlay High School hockey team and director of the Millstream Career Center received great recognition at the Findlay Town Schools Board meeting on Monday.

The Northwestern Region of the Ohio School Boards Association presented Coach Cliff Browne and the hockey team with the Excellence in Community Service Award for their continued dedication to the community.

Cliff thanked the Ohio School Boards Association for the award and praised his players for their continued contribution to the community.

“I never thought something like this would ever happen, but it’s really thanks to these players, not me, that this all works.”

Coach Browne says community service is part of the Trojan Triangle, which also includes playing tough, sportsmanlike hockey with the goal of winning the state title and doing well academically.

The hockey team regularly helps organize events in the city, from Oktoberfest to Gliding Stars.
