Man shoots to death in argument in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio – An argument led to the death of a man Thursday night in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, police said.

The Cuyahoga County medical examiner has yet to identify the man, and police have not released the man’s age.

The shooting took place around 11 p.m. on West 48th Street near Bridge Avenue. The man got out of a car he was in and argued with the people inside, police said.

Someone inside the car shot the man in the leg and fled, police said. Neighbors found the man in the yard of a house. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The shooting, one of three in the span of three hours Thursday night and Friday morning in Cleveland, brings the city’s total homicide count to 101 for the year. There have been 72 homicides up to August 14, 2019.
